I am way behind on my blogging!! We'll see if I can catch up!! We got to vacation in Island Park with my parents, Sister, and her beautiful children. We were there for a week and got to see Yellowstone twice, shop in West Yellowstone, roast marshmallows, play games and have fun, all except Thursday. We were actually planning on going to Rexburg to do a session at the temple but Jerrod woke up early not feeling well and was throwing up all day long (be glad I don't have pics of that!) While he was sick in bed, JJ threw a temper tantrum and flung his body forward, hitting the metal bedframe with his head. Haley and I left all the other kids and Jerrod with Dad and Linda and we drove down to Rexburg to have him stitched up!! I'm glad Haley was with me, she was so calm and clear-headed, she got a pocket full of Jelly belly's to keep JJ distracted and was a HUGE help- thanks Sis!! JJ was wrapped like a mummy but ended up staying so still while he got three stitches right between his eyes!! All in all it was a fun vacation, just a little more stressful than I'd like!!

What great pictures! These are the kind of things that will make for fun memories. It sounds like you guys are busy, but happy. I am so glad.
I guess this is what I have to look forward to with boys. I'm just glad that Carter isn't quite old enough to be running around yet! He's already exhausting! Thank heavens for Jelly Beans! I'm kind of fond of them myself!
Ouch! There is nothing better than having a calm person with you when you feel nervous! I remember when I locked myself out of the apartment while my then 5 month old baby slept. I ran to Emily's apartment, she first told me to be calm, left her own kids, we dragged a picnic table over to my apartment, she climbed on and hoisted me up over the balcony and I got in through the never-locked sliding glass door. It was then that I realized that moms can do anything!
I'm glad he is ok.
Poor guy. I got stitches almost in the same spot when I was about his age. At least he won't remember it! Glad he is ok. And it still sounds like a fun vacation!
to bad it isn't halloween The HSM thing cracks me up and the tatto thing is funny too I remember the same talk with my mother and we wen't allowed to put the fake ones on. I always wanted to which resulted in me putting them on my kids but I might be wrong. hope our kids stay clean.
Oh poor JJ! There's nothing scarier than one of your kids getting hurt. It could have been so much worse though! That's one tough head you got there kiddo.
Poor little guy! I don't know how I'm gonna handle it when I have kids and they get hurt...I pass out at the very thought of blood, pain, injuries, etc. I am screwed if I have crazy lil' boys.
JJ, girls dig dudes with scars. Stay tough, buddy.
Oh my goodness JJ. OUCH! Nana is so sorry you got hurt that way...but this shows you are definitely a GUDDAT!!! Your Daddy got his bumps & bruises, cuts & scrapes but talk to Uncle Goods about his money making scheme he had going over the years with the local emergency room. Yep...there was a wonderful doctor (I even remember his name: Cecil Snodgrass) who used to carry around dollar bills in his smock just for occasions like this...STITCHES & HOLDING STILL. He would put the dollar under or around the injury. It was a pretty cool idea and he was great with kids & let's face it what kid would turn down a dollar. Well as Uncle Jon got older he had a very serious injury while he was in Middle School (hit in the head with a rock). I'll never forget the phone call and rushing to the scene seeing cops and ambulances. (Jon thought it was pretty cool as I remember). When he was getting ready to be stitched up he looked right at the doc and said a dollar wasn't enough. He got 5 bucks that day! But I guess if Jelly Beans work..there you go!
Oh, no fun! But, glad you had someone with you with a pocket full of jelly bellies!
Stitches and kids are always no fun!
