The Dance Festival

It was Awesome to see 11 different countries coming together dancing on the same stage!!
Dimitri trying to teach me to dance
Dimitri teaching Jocey a traditional Greek dance
Playing Bocce ball in our dead grass!
Greece dancing at the opening ceremonies

We had an opportunity to be involved with the International Dance and Music Festival this year and it was an awesome experience. I was the housing director for the country of Greece and we housed two dancers from there as well! Vangelis is 17 and Dimitrios is 15. This was their first trip on an airplane and first time to the USA. They were so great, we had a fun time getting to know them and watching them perform, the kids loved them and we were all so sad to see them go. Here are some highlights from their visit. We'll definitely do this again next year!!

Looks like you guys had a great experience! I know we did when we did it. You definitely learn so much. Did you like Breaking Dawn? I've heard so many different reactions from people and I'm curious!

I totally forgot about the Dance Festival! How neat that you got to host some of the dancers!

I remember the opening ceremony and the fireworks when we lived there. *Sigh* Thanks for bringing back memories!

What a wonderful adventure for your Greek Dancers whom you brought into your home. It's obvious from the family pictures the kids were attached to them. I used to love to watch the Croatian dancers who traveled the world (but lived in my hometown of Anacortes). It can be a very Ahhhhh moment.
